Understand Your Implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are placed into the jawbone to support a replacement tooth or bridge. They are made of biocompatible materials, such as titanium, and fuse with the jawbone over time to create a strong foundation for the replacement tooth. Dental implants can be used to replace one or multiple missing teeth and can last for many years with proper care.

At Roanoke Implant Center, we use the latest technology and techniques to ensure that your implant treatment is as comfortable and successful as possible. Our implant systems are made of high-quality, biocompatible materials that are designed to mimic the look and function of natural teeth.

Dental implant treatment typically involves several steps, including the placement of the implant, the healing process, and the placement of the replacement tooth or bridge.

The implant placement is done by Dr. Louis Traci, DDS under local anesthesia. The implant is placed into the jawbone, and then left to heal for several months. During this time, the implant fuses with the jawbone, creating a strong foundation for the replacement tooth.

Once the implant has fully integrated with the jawbone, Dr. Louis Traci, DDS will attach an abutment, which is a connector piece that attaches the implant to the replacement tooth. Finally, the replacement tooth or bridge is placed on top of the abutment.

Dental implants can have a positive impact on your life and health in several ways. They can improve your appearance, making your smile look more natural and attractive. Additionally, they can improve your ability to chew and speak, making it easier to eat and communicate. Implants also help in preventing bone loss, which can occur when missing teeth are not replaced.

At Roanoke Implant Center, we understand the importance of having a functional and beautiful smile. Our team led by Dr. Louis Traci, DDS, will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that meets your needs and goals. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care and strive to make your implant treatment as comfortable and successful as possible.
